NASA astronaut Jerry Carr will present the new biography about his life, Around the World in 84 Days. The book tells his amazing story as commander of the third and final mission to America’s Skylab space station, in which he set a new world endurance record for time in space. During three months in space in 1973, Jerry Carr logged over 1,563 hours in experiment research time and completed 1,214 orbits of the Earth. He was originally slated to fly to the Moon as Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 19 in 1972, but the mission was canceled. Today he is retired from NASA and lives with his wife, artist Pat Musick, in Manchester, Vermont.
