Visiting Day is a beautiful picture book about a little girl who takes the bus with her Grandma to visit her Daddy in prison. Guess what happens when cowboy Pecos Bill's daughter gets two pet hamsters from a mail-order catalog? Yup - a good old fashioned round-up! I love this story - written in a Western twang with that good old cowboy dry humor and wonderful double page illustrations. A really fun read-aloud for boys and girls 5-7 and anyone who(like me)loves these furry little varmints.
