A sheltered young woman (Amber Tamblyn) struggles with the possibility that she is pregnant, unable to confide her fears in anyone, until she gives birth. When the infant dies, she is charged with manslaughter and undergoes counselling by a psychologist (Tilda Swinton), who is very ambivalent about her own pregnancy. Poignant, moving, and beautifully acted, especially by Ms. Tamblyn.

A summer camp to indoctrinate impressionable children into the fundamentalist evangelical movement is the focus of this spellbinding, and oftentimes shocking, documentary. It is as much an indictment of a religious fervor that borders on fanaticism as it is an expose of a political agenda determined to alter one of the basic tenets of the American government: the separation of church and state.
