An exceptionally moving, compassionate, beautifully written memoir, Brother, I'm Dying by Edwidge Danticat is not to be missed. It is the story of two brothers, her beloved Uncle Joseph who raised her until the age of 12 and her father who fled Haiti eventually bringing his family to live with him in NY. Danticat is a powerful writer whose prose is simple but magical and you should not miss her latest book.
